Re-registering a new device

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) supports re-registering of a new device incase the existing device is damaged or lost or changed by the user.

Prerequisites

To re-register the new device, follow the steps as discussed.

Steps

  1. Go to Administration > Access Control > Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  2. Click Re-register Users.
    The Re-register Users window is displayed.
  3. Select the relevant user type and provide the names of the user/s.
  4. Click Re-register.
    The success message is displayed for the successful re-registration. For the next time login, user can view the registration screen to register the new device by scanning the QR code.
    NOTE:For any previous user, the existing details are retained, if the device is iphone with the Google authenticator application, after re-registration. However, for any other device with Microsoft authenticator the existing user details are overwritten.
