Enabling Support Access

About this task

To enable the support access for iDRAC, follow the steps as discussed.

Steps

  1. Go to Administration > Access Control > iDRAC.
  2. Click Enable Access.
    The Enable Support Access window is displayed.
  3. Set the Access Duration to 30,60 or 90 minutes.
    NOTE:The operator user is disabled by default, when retention lock compliance is enabled on the appliance. However, this can be enabled for a limited duration only.
  4. Click Enable.
    A countdown alert message is displayed at the header of the screen that displays the amount of time allowed for the iDRAC operator to access.

    Another warning message is displayed when the operator has five minutes left to access.

  5. Provide the following details for the Security Officer to continue the process:
    • Username
    • Password
  6. Click Verify.
