PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance 5.15.0.0 Kubernetes User Guide

Customizing the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance pod configuration

When adding Network Interface Cards (NICs), setting DNS configuration for pods, or creating custom ports, you might want to update the PowerProtect Controller, Velero, and cProxy pod configurations to apply additional attributes or change existing attributes.

Pod information is specified in the advanced options when adding or editing the Kubernetes cluster asset source in the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance UI. To make changes to a pod configuration, perform the following steps:
  1. Create a yaml file that contains these changes. The examples below demonstrate sample yaml files for PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance pod configuration changes to specify the multus annotation for configuring multiple network interface cards and DNS configuration to PowerProtect and Velero pods in the cluster.
  2. In the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance UI, go to Infrasture > Asset Sources.
  3. Under the Kubernetes tab, select the Kubernetes cluster asset source, and then click Edit.
  4. Expand Advanced Options, and then specify the text of this yaml in the PowerProtect Controller Configuration, Velero Configuration, or cProxy Configuration boxes to apply the changes.

Add a Kubernetes cluster provides more information on performing this configuration when setting up the Kubernetes cluster in the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance UI.
