Change encryption algorithm

You can change the storage encryption algorithm and apply it to existing data or new data. Encryption of the existing data using the updated algorithm takes place during the next cleaning cycle.

1. From the left navigation pane, select Infrastructure > Storage.
   The Storage window appears.
2. On the Storage Encryption tab, in the summary section, click the three vertical dots.
3. Select Change Algorithm.
   The Change Algorithm dialog box appears.
4. Change the Algorithm, as required.
5. Indicate if you would like to apply the new algorithm to encrypt existing data by selecting the Apply to existing data check box.
6. Indicate if you would like to restart the file system immediately to apply the algorithm change by selecting the Apply file system now to apply changes check box.
   If this check box is not selected, data continues to be encrypted using the old algorithm until the file system is restarted. The summary section is updated with the latest algorithm; however, a warning icon is displayed to indicate that file system restart is pending to apply the change in encryption algorithm.
7. Provide the Security Officer credentials.
8. Click Change to confirm changing the encryption algorithm.
