Removing the PCIe card from Riser

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the air shroud.
  4. Remove the M.2 direct riser
  5. Remove the side cover

Steps

  1. Using both hands, hold the PCIe card by the edges and pull the card away from the riser slot.

  2. Using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, loosen the captive screws. Using both hands, hold the PCIe card by the edges and pull the card away from the riser slot.

  3. Replace the expansion card filler bracket.
