Installing the 1U power distribution board

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
  3. Remove the 2U top sled from the 2U node.
  4. Remove the Riser 2.

Steps

  1. Align the slots of the Power distribution board (PDB) with the fix hook on the 1U node.
  2. Using a Phillips 2 screwdriver, tighten the screws to secure the PDB on the 1U sled.

Next steps

  1. Connect the cables connected from cooling fans and system board to the 1U power distribution board (PDB).
  2. Install the Riser 2
  3. Install the 2U top sled on the 2U node
