Removing the bottom air-shroud
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the side cover.
- Remove the air shroud.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the air shroud and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Release the cables from the front chassis.
- Pull and release the tab on the bottom air-shroud cover and remove the cover from the computer.
- Remove cables from the routing guides on the system board.
- Remove the two (M3x5) screws that secures the bottom air-shroud to the system board.
- Remove the bottom air-shroud upwards and out of the computer.
