Removing the display panel

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. stand
    2. back cover
    3. cable cover
    4. speaker cover
    5. speaker
    6. hard drive
    7. optical drive
    8. VESA mount bracket
    9. system board shield
    10. SSD card
    11. WLAN card
    12. memory
    13. heat sink
    14. system fan
    15. processor
    16. coin cell battery
    17. power supply unit
    18. system board
    19. chassis frame
  3. To remove the display panel:
    1. Disconnect the cables from the connectors [1].
    2. Remove the screws that secure the display panel to the bezel.[2].
    3. Lift the display panel away from the bezel. [3].
