Removing the intrusion switch

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. stand
   2. back cover
   3. cable cover
   4. speaker cover
   5. system board shield
   6. power supply unit
   7. VESA mount bracket
3. To remove the intrusion switch:
   1. Disconnect the intrusion switch cable from the connector on the system board [1].
   2. Unthread the intrusion switch cable from the retention clips on the computer [2].
   3. Remove the screw that secures the intrusion switch to the computer [3].
   4. Slide and lift the intrusion switch away from the computer [4].
   
4. Perform the following instructions as shown in the illustration:
   1. Disconnect the intrusion-switch cable from the connector on the system board [1].
   2. Unthread the intrusion-switch cable from the retention clips on the computer [2].
   
5. Perform the following instructions as shown in the illustration:
   1. Remove the screw that secures the intrusion switch to the chassis [1].
   2. Slide and lift the intrusion switch to remove it from the computer [2].
