Options Descriptions
Service Tag Displays the Service Tag of your computer.
Asset Tag Allows you to create a system asset tag if an asset tag is not already set. This option is not set by default.
SERR Message This field controls the SERR message mechanism.
  • Enable SERR Messages—Enabled by default.
BIOS Downgrade This field controls flashing of the system firmware to previous revisions.
  • Enable BIOS Downgrade—Enabled by default.
Data Wipes This field enables users to securely erase data from all internal storage devices.
  • Wipe on Next Boot-Disabled by default.
BIOS Recovery This field enables you to recover from certain corrupted BIOS conditions from a recover file on the user primary hard drive or an external USB key.
  • BIOS Recovery from Hard Drive—Enabled by default
    • BIOS Auto-Recovery—Disabled by default
