Removing the optional VGA module

CAUTION:The information in this removal section is intended for authorized service technicians only.

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the side cover.

About this task

The following images indicate the location of the optional VGA module and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.

Steps

  1. Remove the two screws (M3) that secure the optional VGA module to the chassis.
  2. Disconnect the optional VGA module cable from the connector (VIDEO) on the system board.
  3. Slide the optional VGA module out of the port opening and lift the optional VGA module off the system board.
