Installing the side cover

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

About this task

The following image indicates the location of the side cover and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Place the computer in the upright position.
    NOTE:This step applies only if you have installed any component other than the front bezel.
  2. Align the tabs on the side cover with the slots on the chassis.
  3. Slide the side cover towards the front of the chassis until the release latch clicks in place.
