Installing the optional DisplayPort module
CAUTION:The information in this installation section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the optional DisplayPort module and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Using a screwdriver, remove the optional-module cover from the chassis. NOTE:This step is applicable only when the optional DisplayPort module is being installed for the first time.NOTE:To remove the optional-module cover, insert a flat-head screwdriver in the hole of the cover, push the cover to release it, and then lift the cover off the chassis.
- Insert the optional DisplayPort module in the slot on the chassis.
- Connect the optional DisplayPort module cable to the connector (VIDEO) on the system board.
- Replace the two screws (M3X3) to secure the optional DisplayPort module to the chassis.
