Installing the internal speaker

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

About this task

The following images indicate the location of the internal speaker and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Press the tab on the internal speaker, align and slide the internal speaker in the slot on the chassis until it snaps in place.
    NOTE:Ensure that the internal speaker is secured under the tabs on the chassis.
  2. Open the retention clip, route the internal-speaker cable through the retention clip and close the clip to secure the cable.
  3. Connect the internal-speaker cable to the connector (INT SPKR) on the system board.
