Removing the System Fan

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. cover
    2. front bezel
    3. drive cage

  3. Disconnect and unthread the system-fan cable from the system board.

  4. Remove the screws that secure the system fan to the chassis.

  5. Remove the fan from the chassis.
