Installing the heat-sink fan
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the fan and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Place the fan onto the heat-sink assembly.
- Tighten the captive screws that secure the fan to the heat-sink assembly.
- Connect the fan cable to the connector on the system board.
