Removing the 3.5-inch hard drive

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the side cover.
  3. Remove the 3.5-inch hard-drive assembly.

Steps

  1. Pull the two tabs from the hard-drive caddy away from the hard drive.
  2. Slide the hard-drive towards the right to free it from the mounting points on the caddy and lift it away from the system.
