Removing system board

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
    2. bezel
  3. Open the front panel door.
  4. Remove the:
    1. heat sink assembly
    2. processor
    3. expansion card
    4. optional M.2 PCIe SSD
    5. SD card reader
    6. memory module
    7. VGA daughter board
  5. Disconnect the following cables:
    1. system fan [1]
    2. intrusion switch [2]

  6. Disconnect the following cables:
    1. PSU [1]
    2. power switch [2]
    3. optical drive and hard drive [3]

  7. Disconnect the following cables:
    1. speaker [1]
    2. PSU [2]
    3. hard drive [3]
    4. power distribution for optical drive and hard drive [4]

  8. Remove the screws that secure the system board to the computer.

  9. Slide and lift the system board away from the computer.
