Removing the Heatsink

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. stand cover
    2. stand
    3. back cover
    4. system-board shield
  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:.
    1. Remove the screw that secure the heatsink to the computer [1].
    2. Remove the screws that secure around CPU to the computer [2].
    3. Lift and remove the heatsink from the computer [3].
