View Recommendations check

The overall status in Recommendations is a consolidated view of individual node status. Click View Details to see recommendations for individual nodes. The following table provides details about the overall Recommendations status and individual nodes status.

Overall Recommendation statusIndividual nodes statusCan proceed for license checkRemarks
Recommended (Image indicating that the device firmware is in compliance with the firmware baseline) All the selected nodes are compliant with Dell recommendation. Yes. All compliant nodes are considered for license check.
Partially recommended (Image indicating that the device firmware is not in compliance (Warning) with the firmware baseline, and must be upgraded.) Few nodes are compliant while others are not (Non- recommended or non-compliant). Yes.

Compliant and non-recommended nodes are considered for license check. However, using non-recommended nodes for cluster expansion may result in sub-optimal cluster performance.

Non-compliant nodes are not considered for license check.

Not recommended (Image indicating that the device firmware is not in compliance (Warning) with the firmware baseline, and must be upgraded.) Nodes are non-recommended but are supported for cluster expansion. Yes. Non-recommended nodes are considered for license check. However, using non-recommended nodes for cluster expansion may result in sub-optimal cluster performance.
Non-compliant (Image indicating that the device firmware is not in compliance (Critical) with the firmware baseline, and must be upgraded.) All the selected nodes are non-compliant. No. Non-compliant nodes are not considered for license check
The nodes are recommended based on the following checks:
  • Both new nodes and cluster nodes must be from Dell.
  • New nodes and cluster nodes must be from the same model for symmetrical cluster. For mixed cluster, new nodes can be of any model of the existing cluster nodes.
  • Operating system installed on new nodes must be same as cluster nodes (major OS version).
