Dell OpenManage Integration with Microsoft Windows Admin Center Version 3.0 User’s Guide

Validate and remediate HCI clusters or failover clusters using Dell policies

In the OpenManage Integration extension, you can see the compliance report, remediate, or see suggestions for remediating non-compliant components of HCI clusters and failover clusters using Dell recommended policies.

Although the Secured core, Full stack update, and Integrated Deploy and Update features in the OpenManage Integration extension ensure that cluster is up to date and complies with Dell recommended configurations, the HCI Configuration Profile (HCP) Compliance or Cluster Recommendation feature performs compliance checks against Dell policies to ensure that the cluster shows better resiliency, performance, and remains compliant with Dell recommended configurations throughout the life cycle of the HCI/failover cluster. Use this feature to ensure that:
  • The cluster is locked and secured.
  • The cluster has supported and symmetrical hardware components. For more information about checks, see HCI configuration profile.
  • The cluster has recommended hardware configurations.
  • The cluster has operating system configurations that are recommended by Dell Technologies and Microsoft.

Dell Technologies recommends to perform HCP Compliance or Cluster Recommendation checks periodically after deploying a cluster, after creating a cluster, or expanding a cluster to ensure that the cluster is a supported configuration from Dell Technologies.
