Dell ObjectScale Software Bundle 1.3.x Installation Guide

Download the software images, signature verification, and other needed files from Dell Support

You must download the version of these files for this ObjectScale release.

1. On the Orchestration host or local Linux workstation, create and then open a directory with at least 150 GB of free space. This directory is where you download and extract the files that are needed for the version of ObjectScale.
   1. Create a directory for the files for this version of ObjectScale:

      mkdir <DIR>

   2. Go to the directory:

      cd <DIR>

2. Open a browser and go the ObjectScale 1.3.0 Software Series page.
   1. Select your Model.
   2. Click the Drivers & Downloads tab for your ObjectScale model.
3. On the Drivers & Downloads tab for your model, filter the available files for your model by selecting a version. The list of available software for the selected ObjectScale model and version are shown.
4. (Optional) Download the ObjectScale Community Edition license file. If you have purchased an ObjectScale software license, it is provided to you for activation with a License Activation Code.
5. Download the ObjectScale Software Bundle tar file, objectscale-1.3.0-software-bundle.tar.
   This tar file contains all the software packages and other files that are used to deploy the ObjectScale Software Bundle, including:

   • DKCLI tool, which is a stand-alone utility for initiating and managing the installation of the ObjectScale Software Bundle.
   • Example configuration yaml file, which you use to create the config.yaml file for your cluster.
6. Download the files that you need for signature verification for this version to the directory that you created.
   • objectscale-1.3.0-software-bundle-public.pem
   • objectscale-1.3.0-software-bundle-signatures.tgz.signed.bin
   • objectscale-1.3.0-software-bundle-signatures.tgz
