Event priorities

Each event is designated with one of seven possible priorities. When the Console window sorts events by priority, it lists the events in alphabetical order, with Emergency between Critical and Information.

The following table provides more information on each type of event priority.

Table 1. Event priorities
Icon Priority Description
Alert iconAlert Error condition that is detected by the NetWorker server that should be fixed by a qualified operator.
Critical iconCritical Severe error condition that demands immediate attention.
Emergency iconEmergency Condition exists that may cause NetWorker software to fail unless corrected immediately. This icon represents the highest priority.
Information iconInformation Information about the current state of the server. This icon represents the lowest priority.
Notification iconNotification Important information.
Waiting iconWaiting Indication that the NetWorker server is waiting for an operator to perform a routine task, such as mounting a tape.
Warning iconWarning Non-fatal error has occurred.
