DEFINE VDG

The DEFINE VDG command creates and defines a new VDG.

Syntax

DEFINE VDG vdg_name

[,CONSistent({Yes|No})] The default value is Yes.

[,CYCLE_OVERFLOW({IMMED|NEXT})] The default value is IMMED.

[,CYCLE_TIME(interval[,count][,SECURE,retention[,skip[,keepexp]])]

[,DEBUG([STATUS][,STATUSE])] The default value is STATUS.

[,DYNAMIC_CHANGE({Yes|No})] The default value is No.

[,LOG_OPT({SCF|SYSOUT(ddname)})]

[,MAX_RUNTIME_RC(nn)]

[,MAX_SNAPSETS(count)]

[,NOSORT]

[,PERSISTENT_COPY_LIMIT(count)]

[,RDP_CACHE_UTIL%(warn%,err%)]

[,SAVED_SNAPSETS(interval,retention[,SECURE[,skip]])]

[,SMF({[Yes,]smf_id[,VOLume(INITIAL)][,TRACKS({Yes|No})]|No})] The default value is No.

[,SRP_SNAP%(max%)]

NOTE:VDG is an alias for VERSIONED_DATA_GROUP. You can also use optional parenthesis as follows: VDG(vdg_name).
