Removing the Keyboard

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery
    2. keyboard trim
  3. Remove the screws on the back of the computer and flip the computer. Figure displaying how to unscrew and flip the computer .
  4. Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the palmrest assembly, lift and flip the keyboard to access the keyboard-cable. Figure displaying how to unscrew and flip the keyboard.
  5. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board.Figure displaying how to remove the keyboard cable from the system board.
