Removing the System Fan

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. keyboard trim

    4. keyboard

    5. palmrest

  3. Disconnect the system-fan cable from its connector on the system board. Figure displaying how to disconnect the system-fan cable from its connector on the system board.
