Removing the Keyboard

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. keyboard trim

  3. Disconnect the keyboard cable and touchpad cables from their connectors on the system board. Figure displaying how to disconnect the touchpad cables and keyboard cable from the system board at the back of the computer.
