Removing the Power-Connector Port

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

  3. Perform the following steps:
    1. Release the power-connector port cable from its routing channels [1].
    2. Remove the screws to release the metal bracket that secure the power-connector port [2].
    3. Remove the metal bracket to access the power-connector port [3]. Figure displaying how to release the power-connector cable, remove the metal cap that secures the power-connector port.
  4. Disconnect the power-connector port cable from its connector [1] and remove the power-connector port from the computer [2]. Figure displaying how to remove the power-connector port from the computer.
