Removing the I/O Board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery

    2. bottom cover

    3. docking board

    4. GPS module

    5. USH board

    6. MEMS board

    7. hard drive

    8. Disconnect the battery cable from the battery board.
    9. card bracket

  3. To remove the I/O board:
    1. Disconnect the cable from the I/O board [1,2].
    2. Remove the screws that secure the I/O board [3].
    3. Lift the I/O board from the slot [4].
