Removing the Card Bracket

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery

    2. bottom cover

    3. docking board

    4. GPS module

    5. USH board

    6. MEMS board

    7. hard drive

  3. Unroute the antenna cables by removing the tapes.

  4. To disconnect the cables:
    1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board and the battery board [1].
    2. Disconnect the MEMS cable from the system board [2,3].

  5. To unroute the cables:
    1. Unroute the GPS and the C-storage cables.
    2. Remove the screws that secure the card bracket to the computer chassis.

  6. To remove the card bracket:
    1. Flip the card bracket [1].
    2. Disconnect the camera cable from the connector [2].
    3. Lift up and remove the card bracket [3].
