Installing the M.2 2280 solid-state drive
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the M.2 2280 solid-state drive and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align the notch on the M.2 2280 solid-state drive with the tab on the solid-state drive slot.
- Slide the M.2 2280 solid-state drive into the solid-state drive slot on the system board.
- Align the screw holes on the M.2 2280 solid-state drive thermal plate with the screw holes on the system board.
- Replace the two (M2x3) screws to secure the M.2 2280 solid-state drive thermal plate to the system board.
