Installing the Hard Drive

  1. Place the hard drive bracket on flat surface.Figure displaying placing the hard drive bracket on a flat surface.
  2. Perform the following steps:
    1. Place 7/9.5 mm spindle hard drive on hard drive bracket.
    2. Align the spindle hard drive bracket along the screw holes and ensuring that the hard drive PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is facing upward.
    3. Tighten the screws that secure the spindle hard drive to the bracket [1][2][3][4].

  3. Affix the tape and tighten the screws that secure the spindle hard drive to the bracket.
  4. Connect the spindle hard drive cable.
  5. Place the spindle hard drive inside the computer.
  6. Tighten the screw that secures the hard drive to the computer.
  7. Install:
    1. Battery

    2. Base Cover

  8. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your computer .
