Removing the Display Hinge

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. hard drive

    4. WLAN card

    5. system fan

    6. keyboard

    7. display assembly

    8. display bezel

    9. display panel

  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Loosen the screws that secure the display hinge [1].
    2. Lift the display hinge [2].
