Removing the Display Bezel

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. hard drive

    4. WLAN card

    5. system fan

    6. keyboard

    7. display assembly

  3. Pry out right side of the hinge cover.Figure displaying prying right side of the hinge cover.
  4. Pry the left side of the hinge cover.Figure displaying prying left side of the hinge cover.
  5. Pry the center hinge cover and lift it from the computer.Figure displaying removal display hinge cover.
  6. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration
    1. Pry the edges of the hinge cap [1].
    2. Lift the display hinge [2].
