Removing the system board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. SD card

    2. battery

    3. SIM card

    4. base cover

    5. memory module

    6. keyboard trim

    7. keyboard

    8. coin cell battery

    9. audio connector board

    10. hard drive

    11. WLAN card

    12. WWAN card

    13. system fan

    14. heat sink

  3. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
    1. touchpad
    2. audio connector
    3. speaker
    4. touch panel
    5. network connector
    6. display cable bracket and display
    7. power

  4. Remove the screws that secure the system board to the chassis. Figure displaying the removal of the screws that secure the system board to the computer.
  5. Lift and remove the system board from the computer. Figure displaying how to remove the system board from the chassis.
