Removing the keyboard

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    2. keyboard trim

  3. Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the computer. Figure displaying removing the screws that secure the keyboard to the computer.
  4. Slide the keyboard down down [1] and lift [2] it from the computer to access the keyboard cable. Figure displaying removing the keyboard from the computer..
  5. Turn the keyboard over, and disconnect the keyboard cable from the connector on the keyboard.
  6. Lift the keyboard from the computer.Figure displaying disconnecting the keyboard cable from the computer.
