Removing the coin cell battery

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    2. base cover

  3. To remove the coin cell battery:
    1. Disconnect the coin cell battery cable from the system board.
    2. Pull the coin cell battery from the adhesive on the system board.
    3. Lift the coin cell battery from the system board.
