Removing the Fan Assembly
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SD Card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Disconnect the battery.
About this task
The figure indicates the location of the fan assembly and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Disconnect the IO board cable from the connector on the system board and remove the cables from the cable management routes along side the fan assembly.
- Remove the two (M2x2) screws from the fan assembly.
- Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables, and remove the cables from the cable management routes along side the fan assembly.
- Disconnect the fan cable from the system board and lift the fan assembly away from the computer.
