Installing the 5G WWAN card
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the 5G WWAN card and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align the notch on the 5G WWAN card with the tab on the M.2-card slot on the system board.
- Slide the 5G WWAN card firmly into the M.2-card slot on the system board.
- Connect the antenna cables to the connectors on the 5G WWAN card.
The following table provides the antenna-cable color scheme for the wireless card supported by your system.

- Place the 5G WWAN shielding cover on the 5G WWAN card.
NOTE Insert the edges of the 5G WWAN shielding cover into the clips on the system board to secure it in place.
- Align the screw hole on the 5G WWAN shielding cover with the screw hole on the system board.
- Replace the three screws (M2x2.5) to secure the 5G WWAN shielding cover and the 5G WWAN card to the system board.
