Removing the coin cell battery

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    2. base cover

  3. To remove the coin cell battery:
    1. Peel the adhesive tape sticking the coin cell battery to the chassis.
    2. Disconnect the coin cell battery cable from the system board [1].
    3. Lift and remove the coin cell battery from the computer [2].
