Removing the speaker

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    2. hard drive or SSD
    3. keyboard

    4. base cover

    5. docking board

    6. optical drive

    7. memory module

    8. GPU module

    9. heat sink

    10. ExpressCard

    11. GPS module

    12. WLAN card

    13. WWAN card

    14. SIM board

    15. system board

  3. To remove the speaker:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the speaker module to the computer [1].
    2. Unroute the speaker cable from its routing channel on the chassis [2].
    3. Push the speaker module inwards and lift it to remove it from the computer [3].
