Removing the palmrest

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    3. keyboard

    4. base cover

    5. docking board

    6. optical drive

    7. memory module

    8. coin cell battery

    9. GPU module

    10. heat sink

    11. ExpressCard

    12. GPS module

    13. WLAN card

    14. WWAN card

    15. fingerprint reader

    16. SIM board

    17. system board

    18. SmartCard reader

  3. To disengage the palmrest:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the palmrest to the computer [1].
    2. Turn the computer over.
