Removing the Smart card module

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    2. hard drive or SSD
    3. keyboard

    4. base cover

    5. docking board

    6. optical drive

    7. memory module

    8. GPU module

    9. heat sink

    10. ExpressCard

    11. GPS module

    12. WLAN card

    13. WWAN card

    14. SIM board

    15. system board

  3. To remove the Smart card module:
    1. Lift the release tab and disconnect the smart card ribbon cable from the USH board [1,2].
    2. Remove the screws that secure the Smart card module to the computer [3].
    3. Lift and remove the smart card module from the computer [4].
