Removing the fingerprint reader

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the :
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. hard drive

    4. SSD card

    5. SSD frame

    6. WLAN card

    7. WWAN card (optional)

    8. chassis frame

  3. To remove the fingerprint reader:
    1. Lift the latch and disconnect the fingerprint cable from the connector on the fingerprint reader [1].
    2. Remove the M2x2 screw securing the fingerprint reader bracket to the system [2].
    3. Lift the fingerprint reader bracket from the system [3].
    4. Lift the fingerprint reader off the computer [4].
