Installing the WWAN card

About this task

NOTE:The WWAN card is available only on certain configurations.

The following images indicate the location of the WWAN card and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.

1. Connect the antenna cables to the WWAN card.

   The following table provides the antenna-cable color scheme for the WWAN card that is supported by your computer.

2. Align the notch on the WWAN card with the tab on the WWAN-card slot (WWAN).
3. Insert the WWAN card into the slot at an angle.
4. Adhere the WWAN card to the adhesive pad on the system board.
   NOTE:Adhesive pad is applicable only for computers shipped with a 5G WWAN card.
5. Align the screw hole on the WWAN-card bracket with the screw hole on the WWAN card and palm-rest assembly.
6. Replace the screw (M2x3) that secures the wireless-card bracket to the wireless card and the palm-rest assembly.
7. Align and connect the WWAN-card shield to the frame that accommodates the WWAN card.
