Installing the SIM card tray
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the SIM card tray and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
This procedure is applicable to computers shipped with WWAN card only.
Steps
- Insert a pin into the release hole to release the SIM card tray.
- Push the pin to release the lock, and eject the SIM card tray.
- Slide the SIM card tray out of the slot on the computer.
- Align and place the SIM card in the dedicated slot on the SIM card tray.
- Slide the SIM card tray into the slot in the computer, and push it to lock in place.
