Removing the display cable

CAUTION:The information in this removal section is intended for authorized service technicians only.

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the nanoSIM card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the wireless card.
  5. Remove the WWAN card.
  6. Remove the display assembly.
  7. Remove the display bezel.
  8. Remove the display panel.

Steps

  1. Peel the tape that secures the camera cable to the display back cover in computers shipped with an EMZA camera module.
  2. Disconnect the camera cable from the camera module.
  3. Disconnect the G-sensor board cable from the G-sensor board in computers that are shipped with a G-sensor board.
  4. Peel the display cable to release it from adhesive and lift the display cable off the display back cover.
