Removing the fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the battery.
- Remove the primary M.2 2280 solid state drive or primary M.2 2230 solid state drive.
- Remove the base cover.

Steps
- Disconnect the fan cable from its connector on the system board.
- Remove the three (M2.5x6.5) screws that secure the fan to the system chassis.
- Lift the fan from the system chassis.
