Removing the keyboard

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. To release the keyboard:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the computer chassis [1].
    2. Pry along the edges and flip the keyboard over the display [2].

  4. To remove the keyboard:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the keyboard door [1].
    2. Lift the keyboard door away from the computer [2].
    3. Release the latches [3, 5] and disconnect the keyboard cables from the connectors on the system board [4, 6].
    4. Lift the keyboard away from the computer [7].
