Removing the I/O board

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. battery
   2. hard drive
   3. optical drive
   4. base cover
3. To access the I/O board:
   1. Release the latch door and remove the epoxy screws [1].
   2. Peel the adhesive tape [2].
   
4. To release the I/O board:
   1. Peel the adhesive tape [1].
   2. Lift the latch [1] and disconnect the I/O board cable from the connector [2].
   3. Peel the adhesive tape [4] and disconnect the display cable [5].
   
5. To remove the I/O board:
   1. Remove the screws that secure the I/O board to the computer [1].
   2. Lift the I/O board away from the computer [2].
